“By the way, there’s also been slaughter in Israel. So, there’s a lot of pain on both sides. So, we don’t really need a lecture on the problem. I’m not talking about the politics of this tonight.” That was Anderson Cooper’s response before shutting Nina Turner down.

Bakari Sellers interject by saying that “prior to October 7 there was a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.”

Nina Turner was describing the ongoing genocide as taking place in Gaza in realtime. Turner’s comments. were spot on. “While this president was in the ice cream shop saying, ‘I think there’s going to be a ceasefire,’ 30,000 people have been slaughtered,” Turner said. “People are living in famine. They can’t get medical care. So, it can’t come soon enough for them.”

That was part of the exchange during CNN’s coverage of Tuesday’s Michigan primary, as reported by NY Post.

Seriously Anderson? Are you being stupid or just working hard. Is this how much Israel has a grip on you? That is what is called moral flexibility. Let me share with you today’s statistics.

As of today, over 30,000 men, women and children have been slaughtered by the Israeli Death Forces, and mind you, paid for by our own tax dollars. Among those are 12,300 children and 8,400 women. That is 1 out of every 75 people of Gaza. This is equivalent to 4.5 million Americans. Moreover, there are over 70,000 injured. And to make it easy for your intelligence to understand, every hour in Gaza, there are 15 people killed — 6 of them are children, 35 people are injured, 42 bombs are dropped and 12 buildings are destroyed.

More than half of Gaza’s homes, 360,000 residential units have been destroyed or damaged. 392 educational facilities destroyed. 11 out of 35 hospitals are partially functioning. 132 ground water wells damaged or destroyed, and 267 places of worship were demolished.

As of February 16, 92 Palestinian and 3 Lebanese journalists have been killed.

According to Human Rights Watch, the Israeli government is using starvation of civilians as a method of warfare in the Gaza Strip, which is a war crime. More than half a million people in Gaza face starvation and all 2.3 million experience acute food shortage.

Today, February 29, over 100 people were slaughtered and more than 700 injured after the Israeli Death Forces’ tanks fired at thousands of Palestinians waiting for a food convoy.

So, Anderson, I believe you need lecturing. And while I am at it, this is for Bakari too. Let me start by Lesson One. It is a poem written by a young Tunisian, Al-Shabbi, during the French occupation of his country in the mid 1930s. My generation memorized this poem in primary school:

If one day the people wanted life, fate must respond

And the night must be cleared, and the handcuffs must be broken.

Less than 30 years later, Tunisia was independent and the French were kicked out.

Lesson Two is that brutal occupation and apartheid never prevail. Unless you failed your history in school, I am sure you read something about Algeria, Vietnam, South Africa and most recently Afghanistan.

Lesson Three is what Ehud Barak, the former Prime Minister of the Zionist state, articulated in the Hebrew-language newspaper Yedioth Ahronot interview: “Throughout the Jewish history, the Jews did not rule for more than eighty years, except in the two kingdoms of David and the Hasmonean dynasty and, in both periods, their disintegration began in the eighth decade.” So, few years from now is not a big deal. Palestine will be free

Bakari Sellers: you are better than that…

Anderson Cooper: You are a disgrace!
