I grew up watching the antics of the famous ventriloquist Edgar Bergen and his wooden companion, Charlie McCarthy. The world has now been treated to a performance by their successors, Edgar Rove and Charlie McBush.

There is substantial and growing evidence that President Bush was “wired”, and receiving transmitted answers to questions he was asked during his first debate with Senator John Kerry. And CNN picked up the transmission of words to President Bush immediately before he spoke those very words at a D-Day event in France this year. It is unclear why the mainstream press did not pursue the matter at that time.

What is clear is that George W. Bush, loser in the popular vote count of 2000, the man who stole the electoral votes of Florida aided and abetted by his Republican Governor-Brother of Florida and the United States Supreme Court and who therefore rules with no legal or political mandate, is not even himself performing the duties of the high office of President of the United States.  He is not merely a empty suit, as some have suggested. President George W. Bush is a figurehead, a corporate logo for those who rule the country through him and whose policies he passionately pursues.

George is to the Presidency what Ronald is to McDonald’s.
