The Columbus Gay Men’s Chorus (“CGMC”), central Ohio’s premiere TTBB vocal organization, is proud to announce its annual Pride Month concert, “Ancient Gods,” happening on June 13th and 14th, 2026 at the Riffe Center Davidson Theatre.

CGMC’s Artistic Director Brayton Bollenbacher says an interest in the intersection of music and mythology led to the theme for this year’s Pride show. “We wanted to play around with pop songs that reflect ancient mythology, so we are focusing on Greek, Roman, Norse and Egyptian gods in this concert. The chorus is singing about Rhinannon, Thor, Zeus, Persephone and many more.”

Bollenbacher says the songs will provide an adventure in music for audience members. “It's a great time to just sit back, relax, and enjoy the magical, mythical, and mystery of folklore from civilization's past.”

Members of CGMC are truly embracing the theme by donning period costumes. “The gays love to dress up, and our singers are getting to wear togas, gladiator outfits and Grecian-inspired dresses. It's a fun time for us to put music to this fun time in human history,” Bollenbacher said.

Bollenbacher promises CGMC’s usual unique and joyful Pride show experience for all who attend. “No better way to spend your Pride season than by joining the Columbus Gay Men's Chorus as we sing your favorite pop, Broadway and folk songs about ancient gods.”

Now in its 36th year, CGMC has been and continues to be a strong voice for LGBTQIA+ representation in the arts, demonstrating to central Ohio and beyond that music can bring people together, build understanding, and inspire change.

CGMC has grown to regularly have more than 125 members during each concert performance. The ensemble is now the largest TTBB (tenor, baritone, bass) chorus in the state of Ohio. Members have various sexual orientations and gender identities, and all are welcome. CGMC is a nonprofit organization, and 100% of all contributions go directly to the support of its mission: “Inviting All With Voices Raised, Lives Changed.”
