Four local groups — Baladna: Palestine Society of Columbus, Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) at The Ohio State University, People’s Defense Committee (PDC), and the Columbus New Labor Committee — held an afternoon rally and march in Columbus, Ohio, for Lebanon, Palestine, and Iran at the Goodale Park Gazebo.
The organizers stated that Israel launched a suicidal assault on Lebanon last Wednesday, killing at least 254 people and injuring 1,165 more. As of Saturday, Israel continues to target heavily populated areas as well as ambulances, medics, and hospitals — all clear war crimes.
Israel even bragged that it had hit, last Wednesday, more than 100 targets in South Lebanon, Beirut, and the Bekaa Valley simultaneously within 10 minutes. The Israeli Defense Forces indiscriminately bombed heavily populated areas throughout Lebanon without warning. These are war crimes committed with the help of our tax dollars.

Israeli attacks continued Saturday on Lebanon, where the number of dead has jumped to over 300 after the Iran-U.S. ceasefire. Contrary to Israel’s claims, organizers argued that the victims were mothers, fathers, children, and medics — not Hezbollah fighters.

Hospitals are overwhelmed, and communities are shattered. This was not an isolated incident; strikes have continued as “Crime Minister” Netanyahu threatens to inflict loss of life and destruction similar to Gaza.

“Many of the locations were in places where nobody expected strikes to hit. It caused panic and chaos in the streets. Children were crying. People were shouting — many injured, running through the streets trying to reach hospitals. Others abandoned their cars in traffic,” reported Al Jazeera.

Protesters said, “We refuse to be silent,” and urged the community to join them as they marched in solidarity to honor the memory of the martyrs, stand with those who resist, and demand accountability.
Amna Asim, a chemical engineer from Pakistan, said, “Donald Trump blindly followed Israel into war. I cannot be silent. It matters to me to show up for our community and to stand up against genocide. Pakistan is central to ongoing peace negotiations, with talks between Iran and the U.S. being held on April 10.”
Speaker Elliott M. of Columbus, Ohio, stated, “The U.S. spent $20 billion on war against Iran. That money could end homelessness in the U.S., and it would be enough to cover childcare for one year for two million children. We stand with the brave people of Iran against U.S./Israeli aggression.”
Speakers at the rally emphasized: “The Palestinian people are not alone. The Lebanese people are not alone. The Iranian people are not alone. Our grief and resistance are collective.”
Pure Evil Exposed
Dr. Éveline Hitti, chair of the emergency department at the American University of Beirut, completely shattered Israel’s false narrative of targeting only combatants. She revealed that while less than 1% of casualties in Ukraine are children, in Lebanon the figure is 14%, and in Gaza a staggering 30%. (Source: @FurkanGozukara)

Jewish-American professor Norman Finkelstein accurately described Israel as a “lunatic state” for flattening Lebanon simply because it could not get its way with Iran. Drone footage proves he is absolutely right. The indiscriminate destruction is so apocalyptic that even prominent U.S. conservative influencers like Benny Johnson are now publicly demanding that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu be permanently banned from the White House.
Journalist Rania Khalek dismantled the Western narrative, reminding the world that Israel has invaded Lebanon seven times since 1978. Hezbollah, she noted, only exists because Israel first occupied Lebanese land — resistance being the natural response to brutal military occupation.
Rania Khalek on Western media coverage of Lebanon: 'Pathetic cowards'
The U.S. and Israel falsely claimed that the ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran did not include Lebanon. However, a Pakistani official publicly responded, “That’s nonsense. The ceasefire agreement negotiated in Pakistan did include Lebanon. This is how war crimes are committed — by indiscriminately bombing heavily populated areas without warning.”
In the past 48 hours, nuclear-armed Israel has attacked Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, and Yemen. Only Israel can bomb four countries and still be perceived as the victim.
