A dozen environmental groups expected at free Green Mixer November 15

On America Recycles Day, Sunday, November 15, Central Ohio residents can meet representatives of a dozen environmental organizations and teams in one place at a free Green Mixer.
The event runs from noon to 1:15 p.m. at First Unitarian Universalist Church of Columbus, 93 W. Weisheimer Road.
Some representatives will have tables, while others will be available for informal conversation. Visitors can learn about local environmental efforts, exchange ideas and meet others who care about the planet.
Short tours of First UU's greatly expanded rooftop solar energy system, rain gardens and pollinator habitat will also be available, weather permitting.
The mixer is part of First UU's Environment Week, featuring four free events on November 10 and 15. Across the week, approximately two dozen distinct organizations, initiatives and businesses are associated with the activities.
Tuesday, November 10, 7–9 p.m.: Groundswell Movie Night, featuring an award-winning documentary about regenerative land practices and healthier food, followed by conversations with local sustainability organizations. The screening takes place during Ohio Soil Health Week.
Sunday, November 15, 11 a.m.: Environmental Sunday Service, The Art of Enoughness.
Sunday, November 15, noon–1:15 p.m.: Green Mixer.
Sunday, November 15, 6:30 p.m.: A separate Care and Share Time Bank potluck and program featuring the Central Ohio Reuse Coalition (CORC) discussing OKAPI reusable cups and plastic reduction.
First UU recently received a 2026 Columbus GreenSpot Award and presented its environmental work at MORPC's Summit on Sustainability.
All events are free and open to everyone. No registration is required for the November 15 events.
