For Mr. Gerard's lack of knowledge, I ask that you send him my response.

  1. Turkiye is not a Middle Eastern Nation.

  2. Is the US a role model for democracy?  Guantanamo, illegal occupation of sovereign nations, persecution and genocide of Native Americans and Africans.

  3. Is Europe a Democracy?  Half of the European nations still have royal families apart of the government, as well as close relations with religious clerics. The Belgians and French have killed over 20 million people in Africa and SE Asia combined.  There are outright tortures and persecutions in the US.  There are policies imposed on inner cities that are slow brewing genocide machines.

Gene needs to take his brain out of his ass and look in the mirror, before he starts promulgating about a nation surrounded by "evil" in the words of evangelical political racists.  Russia, Armenia, Georgia, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Greece and Bulgaria.  I'd like to see how improved US or Western democracies would be if they were surrounded by struggling and troublesome nations, and to top it, have foreign agents dilligently working to create political rivalries and terror movements.  All EU nations and at times the US is known to be aiding and abating terrorism in Turkiye.  Some of the militant Islamic terrorists(mainly Kurds) have ties to US intelligence.  The West was instrumental arming and funding 100,000 Armenian mercenaries that were raiding Turkish villages and killing innocent villagers.  The Armenians were given 400,000 rifles and money to do this.  When they lost, the West started calling it a genocide.  The Ottomans did not order or kill any Armenians.  The Kurds did.  It's sad that people are such suckers that they give into this plot by blaming the Turks that ended the Ottoman government(which was not guilty, anyway).  Gene is part of this plot and is probably being trained to be the new poster boy.  Modern agents don't carry weapons, they carry pens and computers.

I ask that your organization not use a platform called a Free Press if you're going to have those with political agendas and aims to tarnish others they see in the way.  Turkiye will continue to grow.  They will not only be a regional power, but control much of the security and resources in the region.  Those that embrace this will find a friend in Turkiye, those that don't will continue to write smear and propaganda thinking they are succeeding as a part of a machine that will win an imperial game.

  Best regards,
