Columbus City Hall, 90 W. Broad St.
We're meeting at City Hall tomorrow morning to turn in the more than 23,000 signatures you've helped us collect over the last few months. Can you join us?
Our City Our Say will submit petition signatures to the Columbus City Clerk in support of its proposed charter amendment. Before the filing, organization leaders and supporters will be available to discuss the initiative, the signature collection effort, and the next steps in the ballot qualification process.
BRING (optional): We'll have signs on hand for supporters, but you are also welcome to bring your own. If you represent any coalition partner organization(s), please feel free to wear your organization and/or union swag!
Our City, Our Say is a broad, nonpartisan coalition of your neighbors. We’re coming together to build a city that belongs to all of us by shifting power from Columbus insiders to the people and neighborhoods in Columbus.
ALL of us should have a say in decisions that impact our future. But today, City Hall works for big-money donors, and the way we elect Columbus City Council members prevents residents from having a real voice at City Hall. The solution is simple: One council member. One district. Elected by the people who live there.
(If you're not able to attend tomorrow morning, many of the campaign volunteers will be gathering to celebrate with our partner organization Columbus Stand Up at their Summer Cookout this Saturday from 1-4 pm, at Maroon Arts Group Box Park [925 Mt. Vernon Ave.]. There'll be free food and great conversations about data centers and rising utility costs, so please join us!)
Thank you for all the hard work and support to get the campaign this far. Onwards to the November ballot!
- The Our City, Our Say team
P.S. If you'd like to make a contribution to the campaign now to help set us up for success this fall, please chip in here. We appreciate your support!
