Details about event

As you may know, Columbus Community Bill of Rights has been campaigning the past year for a grassroots initiative for a Columbus city charter amendment to protect our local self-governing rights from state preemption. We are challenging the Ohio legislature encroaching upon our state constitutional home-rule rights. I have attached our information card that better explains our proposed legislation.

We will have a booth at Comfest from June 26-28. We are grateful for your support over the years and many thanks to those who have helped us petition in the past or have donated. We need your support again.

This will most probably be our last campaign and our last Comfest collecting signatures. We have until next May to collect nearly 20,000 signatures before we turn in our petitions. We are a bit behind our goal at this point so we desperately need help to take full advantage of the Comfest opportunity! Please, please, please, if you can help us for a 2-hour shift or more, we would be so grateful! We need many people for each time slot.

  • Here is a google doc with the time slots to sign up: CCBOR Comfest 2026. If you prefer, you can just email me and I will fill it in for you.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.
