Columbus residents are joining thousands across Ohio this weekend to say: We want our voices heard! We do not consent to the destruction of our government and our economy for the benefit of Trump and his billionaire allies. We are standing up in defense of our veterans, federal workers, our LGBTQ+ and trans brothers and sisters, libraries, universities, the rule of law, our constitution, and our democracy. The Columbus protest will take place Saturday, April 19, from 12-2 p.m. at the Ohio Statehouse (1 Capital Square). Local organizers are expecting several thousand attendees across 50 Ohio events, with hundreds of thousands of people confirmed nationwide. The following events are also taking place in central Ohio:

Zanesville: 12-2 p.m., Muskingum County Courthouse, 27 N 5th St, ZanesvilleThe Columbus event is coordinated as part of a national day of protest. The "Rally Heard 'Round the World" message represents a nonviolent stand opposing Donald Trump's and Elon Musk's recent actions, on the 250th anniversary of Lexington and Concord, commemorating the start of the Revolutionary War.
