The Ohio legislature's Lame Duck session runs November 10 through December 17 of this year. Lame Duck is when legislators try to cram through as much as they can before the end of the year -- because anything not passed will have to be re-introduced in January. Now is a great time to be telling legislators what WE want them to pass during Lame Duck -- not what their big donors want. Right now they are running for re-election -- so we can tell them what they need to do to earn our votes.

Here's what we're calling about today:

• SB 294 (Ohio House): It labels fracked gas and nuclear "clean" energy and sets rules built to block solar and wind. We're asking House members to vote NO.
• HB 646 (Ohio Senate): As written, Ohio's big data center bill will put more gas plants in our neighborhoods. We're asking senators to make it stronger before the vote.
