Trump Is Using the War with Iran to Bury the Epstein Files

Following seven consecutive nights of U.S. strikes in Iran, the IRGC announced it was targeting U.S. military bases in Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan and warned other countries hosting U.S. forces of possible retaliation.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Department of Defense stated that two U.S. troops were killed, one remains missing, and four others were seriously injured after an Iranian strike in Jordan on Saturday, July 7, 2026. Al Jazeera reported today that 16 U.S. service members have been killed and more than 430 others have been wounded since the outbreak of the war with Iran last February.

Iran says it will continue to resist what it describes as foreign aggression. In my view, President Trump is using the war with Iran to bury the Epstein files in much the same way that President Bill Clinton did in 1998 when he ordered the bombing of the largest pharmaceutical factory in Khartoum, Sudan.

The factory produced medicines for both human and veterinary use and employed more than 300 workers. At the time, the U.S. government claimed the factory was being used to produce VX nerve agent, according to Wikipedia.

Those justifications for the bombing were disputed by the owners of the plant and the Sudanese government. American officials later acknowledged that the evidence prompting President Clinton to order the missile strike "was not as solid as first portrayed." In other words, the government admitted that it had misled the American people.

The attack took place during the Monica Lewinsky scandal, and that now sounds familiar. It is my belief that President Trump is using the war with Iran to bury the Epstein files, much as President Bill Clinton bombed a pharmaceutical factory in Sudan in 1998 to distract Americans from the Monica Lewinsky scandal.

Iran Is Not a Threat to the U.S. or Israel

Anyone who thought we could bomb a country as large as Iran into submission is an idiot. Our "President" is completely unqualified to be running anything bigger than a lemonade stand. The only way his plan could possibly work would be to put U.S. troops on the ground and accept the undoubtedly thousands of casualties that would follow. If he was not willing to do that, he should never have started this war.

This is why no former—and, obviously, much smarter—president did what Trump is doing. Neither Israel nor the United States is in danger of being conquered or wiped out by Iran.

Israel has plenty of nuclear missiles of its own, and the United States could erase Iran from the map if Iran were to attack the U.S. directly. Iran knows this. Yes, it poses a danger to some other countries in the region, but is it really the United States' job to defend everyone, everywhere? Our allies in the region are wealthy and can deal with Iran themselves if they are willing to spend the money.

• Iran didn't kill Rachel Corrie or American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh.
• Iran wasn't involved in the Lavon Affair.
• Iran never kidnapped U.S. citizens in international waters.
• Iran never detained U.S. Rep. Ro Khanna this month.
• It was not Iran that killed 10 U.S. citizens in cold blood since 2022.
• It was not Iran that threatened to kill commentators Ana Kasparian and Candace Owens.

That being said, by bombing Iran, President Trump is fishing in the wrong pond. In my opinion, he is simply trying to bury the Epstein files. That is the ugly truth.
