President Trump missed the transfer of four soldiers killed in Lithuania. Why did he let this happen? He has said he was not briefed about four U.S. Army soldiers reported missing during military exercises in Lithuania when asked about it by a reporter at the White House. When he was campaigning, he was all over military members being killed and trampling all over Arlington cemetery and when a reporter told him it is illegal to campaign at Arlington National Cemetary, his answer was, "No one told me about it!"
Americans were outraged after they learned that Lithuania's President held a ceremony honoring the fallen soldiers who were killed in Lithuania during a training accident and Trump missed the dignified transfer for the soldiers. Reason? The President was seen playing golf with his son Eric at his Trump National Doral Miami golf course.
.
Veteran groups also were disgusted that there was no outrage about Trump even lying about the dignified transfer of the fallen soldiers, “It’s one thing to not go. It’s another thing to lie about it.” That is why "Orange Lies Matter."
Fred Wellman, a seasoned veteran with 22 years of dedicated service in the army, said, "Trump could at least make an acknowledgement of their sacrifice. He has been touting his gold card tonight, but no respect whatsoever for soldiers."
Wellman added, "Any veteran who supports Trump has violated their oath to the country and constitution."
It is rather shameful that the Commander-in-Chief could not take time of his busy golf schedule to meet the coffins when they arrive at Dover AFB in Delaware. Not even VP Vance who served time in the US Marines or Tulsi Gabbard the director of national intelligence, who is an army veteran. American people were left in the dark that four US soldiers were tragically killed during training in a foreign land.
What do you expect from a man who insults US prisoners of war and disparaged a Gold Star family of a US Muslim Army captain Humayun Khan who was killed by a car bomb in 2004 while guarding the gates of his base in Iraq, saving the lives of his fellow soldiers and civilians. Khan’s colleagues who served under him spoke. They spoke of Khan’s sacrifice when the captain ordered his solders to hit the dirt while he moved forward to stop the bomb-laden suicide car that would kill him instantly. Born in the United Arab Emirates to Pakistani parents, Khan moved to the U.S. with his family as a young boy. I met Mr. Khizr Khan after the death of his son, and he graciously gifted me a copy of the U.S. Constitutions.
Trump lacks knowledge of world geography.
Trump is the only President who thinks Puerto Rico is a foreign country and the country of Finland is part of Russia. 47 did not even know that the UK has nuclear weapons. Plus, he is the only man I know that wears make up. Pathetic!
Trump needs to learn how to take care of the people in the United States and not just play golf. It’s like he’s using this presidency as a young girl would use her credit card for a spending spree. None of his MAGA cabinet members has the courage to challenge him. They are scared of him more than they are scared of death. After all, it is better that he wasn't there. He is a stain wherever he goes.
Trump praises Russia for expelling US diplomats!
* Aug 10, 2017, President Trump said Thursday that he was "very thankful" that Russian President Vladimir Putin had ordered the expulsion of 755 U.S. diplomats from the country in response to sanctions — because the administration needs to cut the State Department's budget anyway. If that was not betrayal, I don't know what is!
* When U.S. intelligence officials said Russian operatives secretly offered cash payments in early 2020 to Taliban-linked militants to kill coalition troops, including Americans in Afghanistan, according to multiple news media reports, Trump insisted in post on Twitter that he did not know about the reported bounty and attacked, according to USA Today. Have you ever wondered if Putin has dirt on Trump? Inquiring mind wants to know!
* On January 3, 2020, Qasem Soleimani, an Iranian major general, was killed by an American drone strike ordered by U.S. president Donald Trump near Baghdad International Airport in Iraq, 13 days before Trump's term in office ended. A few hours later, Boko Haram ambushed a US troop in Niger, killing four. Trump was awakened in the middle of the night, so he later called the pregnant widow of a black U.S. Army Sgt. La David Johnson, who was among four U.S. service members killed in Niger to console her by saying, "He should have known what he signed for!" What a horrible thing to say for a young lady who just lost her husband. Later Trump confessed that PM Netanyahu pressured him to kill Gen. Soleimani. Red-blooded Americans should be screaming, ""o more dirty wars for Israel."
Who are the four fallen soldiers?
Lithuanian people and member of their armed forces lined up the streets outside the US embassy to honor and pay respect for the four fallen soldiers while carrying flowers and waving US and Lithuanian flags. Here are the names, ages, and the hometowns of the four fallen soldiers in case Trump did not get the memo:
1- Staff Sgt. Troy S. Knutson-Collins, 28, of Battle Creek, Michigan
2- Staff Sgt. Jose Duenez Jr., 25, of Joliet, Illinois
3- Staff Sgt. Edvin F. Franco, 25, of Glendale, California
4- Pfc. Dante D. Taitano, 21, of Dededo, Guam
Do you think we here in the US would have done the same, come out and line the streets for a fallen Lithuanian soldier, I think not.
Trump obviously does not care too much for the military, but it didn't seem to matter. He was quoted as calling dead WW2 soldiers "losers." So, he and Melania's absence at Dover AF Base just goes to prove that. He only likes soldiers who are not captured while he never spent one day in uniform. He is just a horrible human being, period.
It is matter to the moral of all US troops here and abroad as well as their families. There are around 1,000 U.S. soldiers stationed in Lithuania on a rotational basis. If the president and the people of Lithuania could find time to honor four US soldiers killed in their country after an extensive search and rescue operation, why can't President Trump or other high-ranking US officials do the same? That is what I call dereliction of duty!
