Sunday, June 17, 6:30-8:30pm
First Unitarian Universalist Church, 93 W. Weisheimer Rd.
Bring something tasty to share with others and, if you wish, bring a card with the ingredients so all our varied diet preferences can be accommodated. If it is a special dish you believe will be particularly well received, by all means, bring a copy of the recipe. We are developing a CSTB "Cookbook" and are always pleased to add new dishes to the selection! Bring your own reusable plates if you can, to reduce the wash up necessary after the event. We try to avoid single-use materials, wherever possible!
If you have something you no longer want that others may appreciate, bring it to the "sharing table". We only request that, if it doesn't find a new home, please take it home with you. (We don't have a used product dispensing system!)
We'll have the usual table discussions and introduction of newcomers, but then - the rest of the evening will be something completely different!

Monday, June 11, 6-8pm, The Vanderelli Room, 218 McDowell St.
Pride started as a riot — and Marsha P. Johnson, legendary Black trans activist and elder, was there to see it through. Marsha worked throughout her life to protect and support transgender youth and sex workers, building S.T.A.R. [Street Transvestite Action Revolutionaries] to serve and house her community. She wasn’t about white-washed and exclusive gay “movements” — and neither are we.
Marsha’s work paved the way for Black trans organizers today — and her politics are at the root of Columbus Community Pride. Join us on Monday, June 11, at the Vanderelli Room, for a celebration of Marsha. Learn about her legacy and impact, and work alongside community members to create a collaborative art project.
This is an all-ages event; families (including chosen family) are encouraged!
This event will feature:
• Art and information about Marsha’s life and contributions
• A talk and discussion of Marsha’s legacy
• A collaborative, community collage to celebrate what Marsha means to us today — QTIPOC especially are encouraged to contribute!

Columbus Community Pride 2018: Back to Our Roots
It's time to celebrate Pride in the best way - as a community! Stonewall Columbus' Pride isn't safe for LGBTQIA+ people of color, so we created Columbus Community Pride to bring Pride back to its radical roots and support ALL people. Our Pride will center LGBTQIA+ people of color and other marginalized groups. Community Pride takes no corporate sponsorship and will not invite the police to any of our events. Columbus Community Pride will feature a range of celebrations, performances, and cultural events, culminating in a day-long Community Pride Festival. All events are FREE to attend!
Black, Brown and ONYX ’Zine Release and Cookout
Thursday, June 7, 6-9pm
934 Gallery, 934 Cleveland Ave.
As we go to press, dozens of farmworker women and men from Florida and scores of clergy, students and consumer allies from around Columbus and the country plan to converge at Wendy’s Dublin, Ohio headquarters on Tuesday morning, June 5 at 9am, 1 Dave Thomas Blvd. off of 161, to protest Wendy’s deafening silence in the face of a growing national boycott of the fast-food retailer.
As a colorful public protest draws attention outside headquarters’ Thomas Conference Center, a farmworker delegation plans to enter the meeting to directly address Wendy’s Board and leadership on the company’s failure to join McDonald’s, Burger King, and 12 other retailer peers in the Fair Food Program. The workers and consumers will decry Wendy’s choice to abandon Florida farms participating in the Fair Food Program in order to source tomatoes from Mexico, where egregious rights violations like sexual assault, child labor, and modern-day slavery are commonplace and well-documented.
Sun, June 5, 12pm
61 Jefferson Ave.
This is our June Crafternoon event!
Help us get ready for PRIDE season!! We've got white tank tops AND t-shirts that say PRO CHOICE AF for you to tie-dye! The cost is $15 and it includes either a t-shirt or a tank top and whatever colors (and materials) your heart desires for your tie-dye!
It'll also be a potluck! Bring something summery and we'll try to cook out!
Make sure to wear clothes you're okay with getting dye on - accidents happen after all. :)
We *should* have enough dye for some individual projects if you want to bring your own stuff, but we hope you like us enough to wear a NARAL Pro-Choice Ohio shirt that you've dyed yourself!
These will also double as our summer tabling shirt, so we hope you love us enough to volunteer with us this summer, too!!
