The Fracking industry disposes radioactive toxic frack waste water at high pressures into abandoned vertical oil wells and new high volume, high pressure wells. Injection wells can be compromised, and will leak eventually. Injection wells in Oklahoma, Texas, Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico and Ohio are causing a growing number of earthquakes.
Currently there are 13 active Injection Wells in the Columbus Metro Watershed.
Our next Morrow County injection well tour will be on Saturday, February 4th. We plan to meet in Clintonville, then drive together up north for the tour. Plan to meet at 9am, and to return to Columbus mid-afternoon, around 4pm.
We will restrict vehicles to three cars, and we may rent a large van to accommodate everyone. Final details will be on this website shortly, and we will be sure to email everyone who requests to join us on February 4th.

Wednesday, Feb. 1 at 12 PM - 2 PM at the Ohio Statehouse.
We are gathering together in opposition to President Donald Trump's unlawful attack against the entire Muslim community and refugees worldwide. The recently signed executive order, the "Muslim Ban", prevents Muslims from a select set of Muslim-Majority countries in the Middle East and Africa to enter the United States, and also poses a threat to permanent residents (green card holders). Come out and show your support!

Donald Trump is ushering in the most anti-immigrant administration in modern history.
**UPDATE: Disastrous Executive Orders on immigration enforcement released this week. Will include these in our discussion.**
Friday, January 27, 4pm, OSU Oval [near the Thompson statue]
Refugees are welcome here! No human being is illegal!
On Friday, January 27, we will be rallying near the Thompson Statue on the OSU Oval (at 4pm) in response to Trump’s explicit targeting of refugee and immigrant communities.
In the seven days since Trump has taken power, he has pushed forward a slate of reactionary executive orders:
• Authorizing the expansion of the US-Mexico border wall
• Stripping federal grant money to sanctuary cities
• Hiring 5000 border patrol agents
• Reviving Keystone XL and the Dakota Access Pipeline
• Banning federal funds to international groups that perform abortions or lobby to legalize or promote abortion
• Gutting healthcare
• And he is expected to temporarily ban immigration from Muslim countries such as Syria, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Yemen, Sudan, and Somalia
Thursday, January 26, 12noon, Chase Bank [Broad St. Downtown], 100 E. Broad St.
Divest your money from the Dakota Access Pipeline!
With Trump as president, the fight against the Dakota Access Pipeline [DAPL] is not over. There will be a rally in front of Chase Bank, 100 E. Broad St., asking their patrons to divest their money from the institutions that stand to profit from the pipeline.
If you bank with Chase, divest now!
Since the decision by the U.S. Army to suspend the DAPL river crossing easement to conduct a limited Environmental Impact Statement, the resistance camps at Standing Rock are asking people not to travel to the camps but to “instead take bold action in your local communities to force investors to divest from the project.”
The financial backers of the Dakota Access Pipeline include: JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo, Citibank, ING Bank, Citizens Bank, U.S. Bank, PNC Bank, Barclays, Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, and Morgan Stanley.
Columbus Rally and Walkout on Trump’s Inauguration
Friday, January 20, 11:30am-1:30pm, OSU Oval
Join us on the OSU Oval at 11:30am on Inauguration Day, Friday, January 20, to stand strong against Donald Trump’s racist, sexist, anti-immigrant agenda.
Students and non-students alike are welcome! Donald Trump and the Republican Party are preparing to unleash a storm of attacks on women, immigrants, the Muslim community, LGBTQ people, workers, and the environment. We must stand together in solidarity against Trump’s attempts to divide us! A huge national student strike will send a clear message to Trump, the billionaire class, and the Republican Party, that we reject their agenda of bigotry, hate, and division; that we reject their corporate policies to gut our social services and education. Hosted by Socialist Students Columbus.

We the People 2.0, the movie, is a visual essay about the loss of democracy in the United States. The film utilizes both original footage as well as found footage to describe a profound change in thinking at the grassroots level.
The story unfolds through the eyes of rural people who have faced decades of toxic dumping, drilling and mining in their communities. We learn with them that the reason why, in spite of all their efforts, they “get what they don’t want, again and again,” is because they are, by law, truly powerless in spite of propaganda that says they live in the “best democracy in the world.” These people come to understand that the reason they can’t stop the destruction is that the U.S. has become an oligarchy, run by the corporate few who ignore the rights and will of the people.
This movement is building as you read this, not just in this country but around the world; this film shows how and where it all began.
Free; donations will be accepted.

Join Ohio Revolution and a long list of interested organizations and parties as we discuss and coordinate strategies to address fracking in Wayne National Forest following the Bureau of Land Management’s auction of leases for 17 parcels of the forest to oil and gas corporations in December.
