A lot of people have been reaching out lately looking for ways to get involved, meet others who care about these issues, and better understand what’s happening across Ohio. We wanted to create a space for exactly that!
Buckeye Environmental Network is hosting a statewide onboarding virtual call where organizers and community members will share what’s happening on the ground around injection wells, brine spreading, petrochemicals, pyrolysis, and data centers.
This won’t just be presentations. We’ll give a brief introduction to each campaign so people can learn where they might want to plug in, hear directly from community members about what organizing has helped accomplish locally, and share some of the victories we’ve won together so far.
We’ll also talk about:
upcoming in-person events and actions
protests and public hearings
farmers markets and community outreach
volunteer opportunities
BEN committees you can join
ways to stay connected locally across Ohio
Afterward, we’ll break into smaller discussion groups so people have space to ask questions, meet others, and talk more directly about the issues they care most about.
