Bethlehem is an ancient town with a fascinating and diverse history and culture. Bethlehem is a vibrant city, comprising Christian and Muslim communities that have contributed to its spiritual life for centuries. The population has lived under Israeli occupation since 1967 and the Christian population is declining due to economic and political strife and the Israeli invasions of 2001 and 2002.

The monthly meeting of the local affiliate of the national Move to Amend organization that is calling for a U.S. Constitutional amendment to reverse several U.S. Supreme Court decisions during the past century and thereby to firmly establish that corporations are not people and that money is not free speech.
