The monthly meeting of the local affiliate of the national Move to Amend organization that is calling for a U.S. Constitutional amendment to reverse several U.S. Supreme Court decisions during the past century and thereby to firmly establish that corporations are not people and that money is not free speech. This month’s program: “Climate Activism: Where We’ve Been, Where We Are, Where We Need to Get To”

Humanists see “a planetary duty to protect nature’s integrity, diversity, and beauty in a secure, sustainable manner.”

David Scott, President of the Sierra Club, will share his thoughts and experiences about the environmental movement and efforts to get action on climate change.

David Scott is a Columbus resident who has served as the elected president of the national Sierra Club since May 2013. He was elected to the Sierra Club’s national board of directors in 2009.

Blue Dublin, a progressive organization, will meet at Washington Township House, 6200 Eiterman Rd. Dublin, OH 43016, on Thursday, March 26 at 7:30pm.

There will be a very short annual business meeting to choose leaders for the year, March 2015 through March 2016.

We will have an excellent speaker, Sandy Theis, the Executive Director of Progress Ohio. The title of her presentation will be “Prospects of Progressive Candidates in the 2016 Election.”
