Meeting

Wednesday, March 20, 6-7:30pm, The Residences At Career Gateway, 755 E. Whittier St. [be sure to use the “745 door at the back of the complex at the career center”]

Amnesty International is a global movement of millions of people demanding human rights for all people — no matter who they are or where they are. We are the world’s largest grassroots human rights organization.

Come join us as we grow our movement in Columbus.

Saturday, March 23, 10am-4:30pm, Summit on 16th United Methodist Church, 82 E. 16th Ave.

Building a coalition powerful enough to make real, meaningful change takes work. And the more people who understand what that work looks like and how to make it happen, the more successful our movements will be.

Join Yes We Can for a workshop on a critical part of building powerful coalitions: Digital organizing.

We’re aiming to make this workshop a combination of strategic thinking, hard skills, and hands-on experience.

Thursday, March 13, 7-8pm, Upper Arlington Public Library, 2800 Tremont Rd.

Since 1776, the American people have worked to fulfill the American promise: human liberty, equal citizenship, government by the people. American Promise is a non-profit organization founded in 2016 to create the 28th Amendment that says that people — not money — govern America.

American Promise is leading the charge to win the 28th Amendment so that We the People — not big money, not corporations, not unions, not special interests — will govern the United States of America.

Thursday, April 4, 7-8:30pm, St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 30 W. Woodruff Ave.

We are the Columbus branch of the International Socialist Organization. We are opposed to all oppression and fight for a world centered around human need, not corporate greed. We are students, community members, workers, and activists. We are socialists.

This event will be a statewide gathering of local chapters of the national Move to Amend organization that is calling for a U.S. Constitutional amendment to reverse several U.S. Supreme Court decisions during the past century and thereby to firmly establish that corporations are not people and that money is not free speech.

Keynote [”Keyanote”] speaker: Keyan Bliss, Grassroots Volunteer Coordinator, national Move to Amend
