The Columbus Philosophers’ Meetup will have a special presenter, Nicol Ghazi, who is an active member of the Central Ohio Muslim community, and whose contributions to Central Ohio have earned her a seat on the Columbus Women’s Commission. Ms. Ghazi is the Administrator of Muslim Family Services of Ohio and has been a long-term volunteer and supporter of the programs that advocate for social and economic justice, interfaith understanding, and youth development.

Gabriella Blum is the Rita E. Hauser Professor of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law at Harvard Law School, specializing in public international law, the law of armed conflict, international negotiations, and counterterrorism. She is also the faculty director of the Program on International Law and Armed Conflict and a member of the Program on Negotiation Executive Board.

Move to Amend monthly update meeting

The monthly meeting of the local affiliate of the national Move to Amend organization that is calling for a U.S. Constitutional amendment to reverse several U.S. Supreme Court decisions during the past century and thereby to firmly establish that corporations are not people and that money is not free speech. Find out what can be done locally to restore democracy! Bring a brown bag lunch.
