Topic: “We Are The People Of God: The Life Of Dorothy Stang,” with David Stang, a former Maryknoll Priest. This talk is part of the “Justice in the Catholic Church Series” of talks with prominent Roman Catholic priests. The movie “They Killed Sister Dorothy” is a powerful documentary recommended for anyone who might be able to find this movie.

The monthly meeting of the local affiliate of the national Move to Amend organization that is calling for a U.S. Constitutional amendment to reverse several U.S. Supreme Court decisions during the past century and thereby to firmly establish that corporations are not people and that money is not free speech. Traumatic Brain Injury [TBI] is defined by the Traumatic Brain Injury Model Systems National Data Center as follows: “Damage to the brain tissue caused by an external mechanical force.” Each year, almost 120,000 Ohioans will be treated in emergency rooms or hospitalized due to a TBI. In addition to this, TBI is the “signature injury” of the Afghanistan and Iraq conflicts and is responsible for bringing thousands of new cases of TBI home to Ohio.
