From the Pacific Northwest, Jenner Fox weaves his outdoor traveling adventures and the people he meets into luscious intimate songscapes. Jenner will take the stage at 8pm but come at 6pm for a jam or at 7pm for three “open mic” acts and a “crowd sing-along.”

$15 suggested donation at the door; $10 for Columbus Folk Music Society members.

This event will be a secret, PopUp, live show, creating an immersive experience that brings guests and artists closer together. Each Sofar typically features three diverse acts, from a wide range of genres, with no headliner.

This show will be an outdoor, BYOB, accessible performance at a coffee shop/art Gallery [in Gahanna] that will feature three amazing musicians.

You’d think that the old-fashioned mountain dulcimer has nothing in common with songs linked to the Beatles, Radiohead, Bach, and “The Lone Ranger” TV show theme. But there is a common thread, because brilliant dulcimer genius Butch Ross uses that instrument to play those songs and more.

Butch is the headliner for the next monthly coffeehouse concert, sponsored by the Columbus Folk Music Society on Saturday, September 24 at the Columbus Mennonite Church, 35 Oakland Park Ave.
