This past week Columbus City council passed legislation regarding immigration enforcement. You can find information about it on their social media, but we wanted to share the information in Spanish as well. This package highlights the ordinances, which are legally enforceable, but there was a resolution as well, which is essentially a suggestion that cannot be legally enforced. We believe this legislative package will support our city being safer, and we know that ultimately it is communities and each other who will keep us safe.
Outreach/canvassing efforts are a form of preventative care for keeping our communities safe and we hope you’ll join us! There are three opportunities to join a training session in March: Thurs March 19 at 6:30. Registration is required! Some are online and some in person. If these dates do not work for you, we will have more in April and are open to hearing better times or locations :) Check our linktree or follow our social media to register and keep up with additional training opportunities. This work is valuable and we welcome and need you (yes! you!).
