Chuck Borges is the Democratic nominee for Maryland State Senate in District 29, representing communities in St. Mary’s and Calvert counties. A 23-year U.S. Navy veteran and retired commander, Borges served in Iraq and was decorated for valor before continuing his public service in federal technology and data leadership roles at the CDC, Office of Management and Budget, and the Social Security Administration.
As Social Security’s Chief Data Officer, Borges became a prominent DOGE whistleblower after raising concerns about access to Americans’ sensitive personal data.
He is now running for the Maryland State Senate with a focus on affordable housing, economic opportunity, supporting families, protecting natural resources, and ethical government.
