In a symbolic gesture, proactive residents of Ashland, Holmes and Richland County temporarily blocked access to an exploratory well pad under construction in Green Township, Ashland County, Ohio. The horizontal drilling being conducted by Cabot Oil and Gas Corporation is extremely unwanted and unwelcome. The vast majority of folks who live here, about 98% according to door to door polling, are against this type of extractive industrialization in this north central Ohio country community known for beautiful scenery, rural farming and the millions of visitors who have come to enjoy outdoor recreation in the area’s two state parks, Malabar farm and Mohican.

State Rep. Bernadine Kennedy Kent (D-Central Ohio) introduces legislation that would extend the period of limitations for any criminal offense involving a minor as the victim.
Current law dictates the period of limitation for a violation that involves or indicates abuse or neglect of a child under eighteen years of age or of a child with a developmental disability or physical impairment under twenty-one years of age shall not begin to run until either of the following occurs: (1) The victim of the offense reaches the age of majority, or (2) A public children services agency, or a municipal or county peace officer that is not the parent or guardian of the child, in the county in which the child resides or in which the abuse or neglect is occurring or has occurred has been notified that abuse or neglect is known, suspected, or believed to have occurred.
It is almost too horrible to imagine. On Monday, March 14, Israeli snipers opened fire on unarmed Palestinian protesters in Gaza. At least 52 were killed and over 750 injured from the live fire, which used expanding bullets that collapse bone upon impact. The Israelis also used drones to drench the protesters with tear gas.
Since March 30, Palestinians in Gaza have been peacefully protesting for an end to the 11-year-long siege and the right to return to the lands and villages they were displaced from in 1948. Israel has responded with lethal force, killing over 90 protesters since the start of the demonstrations.
Congress must condemn Israel’s massacres, reaffirm the right of all people to gather in peaceful protest, and demand an end to the siege of Gaza.
Imagine if 52 Israeli peaceful protesters were killed? Or 52 Americans? There would be a massive outcry, nonstop media coverage, and demands to hold the killers accountable. Don’t Palestinian lives have the same value? We think so.

Friends, I want to tell you the very disturbing news of a new corporate-driven scheme to poison you, your family and your pets with radioactive waste.
Aqua Salina is a product you can purchase by the gallon at Lowe’s or a hardware store right now. It’s also sold in huge quantities to department of transportation regional garages for use as a de-icer. It’s bottled in the Cleveland area by an owner of several oil and gas wells. Aqua Salina has been sold for several years.
It is called "brine," marketed as “ancient sea water;” and it is bottled radioactive waste. Depending on the concentrations of radioactive toxins in this "ancient sea water," it is called "NORM" (naturally-occurring radioactive material) or "TENORM" (technologically-enhanced naturally-occurring radioactive material). Here's a page from the website of the seller and distributor of this poisonous stuff:
