Dear Western leaders,
We are sharing with you this tragic story that took place in Gaza yesterday, I doubt it if it ever made it to the national news in your respective countries. We are hoping with sharing this story, it might finally convince you, it is time for you to stop arming and supporting the Israeli genocide in Gaza. Have you not seen enough killing and spilled blood of innocent people already? This senseless murder must stop now, not tomorrow for the love of peace and humanity.
On Friday May 23, Palestinian Pediatrician Alaa Al-Najjar was performing her humanitarian duty rescuing victims of the bombing inside Nasser Medical Complex in southern Gaza, before she was shocked by the arrival of the bodies of 10 children to the same hospital, after they were killed along with their father in the occupation's bombing of her home in the Qizan Al-Najjar area, south of Khan Younis. Their bodies had been burned to death.
According to Palestine News Agency (WAFA), "Ass the sun rose over Gaza on Friday morning, Dr. Al-Najjar, a Pediatrician at Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis, kissed her 10 children goodby and her husband Dr. Hamdi Al-Najjar drove her to work, unaware it would be the last time she would see them alive.
One hour later Dr. Alaa Al-Najjar was looking over the dismembered bodies of her own children and husband as they were being transferred one by one to the hospital's morgue. The missile did not simply kill. It burned, and shattered. Some bodies arrived without heads. Others were beyond recognition. The good Dr. who kept Gaza's children breathing through pain and rubble, now stood helpless before the remains of her own family."
The scene was unbearable: Dr. Alaa had spent month saving Gaza's children during the ongoing Israeli campaign of extermination could do nothing to save her own. An Israeli missile, part of a so-called "precision" targeting system, struck her home in the Qizan Al-Najjar neighborhood east of Khan Younis. It killed all ten of her children- the youngest only six-month-old- along with her Husband Hamdi Al-Najjar.
Dr. Alaa was in the middle of trying to save lives, when she received the news of the murder of her husband and their 10 children. It was a scene that breaks hearts and shatters souls.
Following the Israeli strike, Gaza's civil defense agency crews transported the 10 children some of them charred. Dr. Alaa Al-Najjar could only shed tears. The mother's heart silently collapsed amid the whir of aircraft and the screams of the wounded. May God grant her patience and solace.
May God be with her, reward her greatly for her loss, mend her broken heart, and grant her patience in the face of this unbearable tragedy.
May God Almighty also forbids those Israeli soldiers, their leaders and everyone who support and defend the genocide in Gaza (including Arabs and Muslims) from ever holding their children or grandchildren.
