ENOUGH: National School Walkout
Wednesday, March 14, 10am
Various schools across central Ohio
Details at: https://www.actionnetwork.org/event_campaigns/enough-national-school-wa…
Youth EMPOWER is calling for students, teachers, school administrators, parents and allies to take part in a #NationalSchoolWalkout for 17 minutes at 10am across every time zone on March 14, 2018 to protest Congress’ inaction to do more than tweet thoughts and prayers in response to the gun violence plaguing our schools and neighborhoods. We need action. Students and allies are organizing the national school walkout to demand Congress pass legislation to keep us safe from gun violence at our schools, on our streets and in our homes and places of worship.
Students and staff have the right to teach and learn in an environment free from the worry of being gunned down in their classrooms or on their way home from school.
Parents have the right to send their kids to school in the mornings and see them home alive at the end of the day.
With the World Economic Forum's 2017 Global Gender Gap Report findings telling us that gender parity is over 200 years away, there has never been a more important time to keep motivated and #PressforProgress. And with global activism for women's equality fuelled by movements like #MeToo, #TimesUp and more there is a strong global momentum striving for gender parity. There's a very strong and growing global movement of advocacy, activism and support. Now, more than ever, there's a strong call-to-action to press forward and to motivate and unite friends, colleagues and whole communities to think, act and be gender inclusive. International Women's Day is not country, group or organization specific. The day belongs to all groups collectively everywhere. So together, let's all be tenacious in accelerating gender parity. Collectively, let's all Press for Progress!

Saturday, March 3, 2pm
Corner of North Broadway and High Street, Clintonville
The neo-Nazi group Patriot Front posted flyers up and down Indianola recently in broad daylight. Local residents removed the flyers and they were replaced by 10pm that evening. Nazis are living and organizing in Clintonville in order to build a base. According to their rhetoric, these guys want to kill people and they're not kidding around. This is the third or fourth flyering in Clintonville in addition to those in Westerville, Worthington, Hilliard, and Dublin in the last few months. It's time to stand up and fight!
