Sunday, December 21, 6:15pm, potluck at 6:30pm
First Unitarian Universalist Church, 93 W. Weisheimer Rd.
We LOVE to gather together to relax and celebrate each other!
This year, the potluck falls on the Winter Solstice! What better way to acknowledge the date, celebrate with friends (new and old), and find community than to come to the Care and Share Time Bank (CSTB) potluck and Variety Show? And what a great way to uplift your friends and neighbors than to share your talents? It is a relaxing, low-key way for us all to share with each other. In the past, people have shared poetry and reading selections, songs (both voice and instrumental), and short skits (and more!) Wouldn't you please come and help us relax this holiday?
Dr. Bob Fitrakis and Dan-o Dougan talk about how freedom is in peril and play some songs that celebrate freedom, from Free at Last by Sam Cooke to Freedom by Beyonce and many more!

I hadn’t heard Sawyer Fredericks. I saw Sawyer’s farm strum was scheduled at Rhumba Cafe October 21st, 2025. The email said Sawyer Fredericks won on the Voice in 2015. Pharrell coached Sawyer into victory.
I pondered. Pharrell brought us the Clipse. Pharrell produced NORE. I love Nothin, I love Drink Champs. “Homeboy I Came To Party. Your Girlfriend Was Looking At Me.”
I revisited The Clipse new record, Let God Sort Em Out. Which feature y’all like best: Kendrick, Nas or Tyler? I pressed play on Sawyer Fredierck’s newaest album…No Need To Wonder.
Pharrell wasn’t involved but Sawyer’s politics seemed correct. Sawyer Fredericks – I read online 11-14 million people watched season 8 of the Voice in 2015. I haven’t seen this show.
I watch Democracy Now, Fallon and Rick+Morty. I found Secrets Declassified with David Duchovny is fun because it’s like the real X-Files.
I love NORE. Sawyer Fredericks, I saw Pharrell was your coach for Season 8 of the Voice. I like the Clipse, and Nore.
Are there suggestions Pharrell made which assisted your victory from the Voice?

El Michels Affair’s 24 Hour Sports understands all bands should aspire into being “The Best Damn Band in The Land.” 24 Hour Sports starts with Drumline which embodies organics of a college marching band finding inspiration by contemporary rap.
For the sake of inventing a phrase which I will disavow immediately, El Michels Affair’s new album 24 Hour Sports is post-Hip Hop.
Is Southern University’s football band playing Tyler, The Creator post-hip hop? I don’t know the world needs the words post-Hip Hop. I don’t think I would call Budo’s Band or the Menahan Street Band post-Hip Hop. El Michels Affair and Badbadnotgood are post Hip Hop. I don’t think anyone should ever say Post-Hip Hop.
I know I wouldn’t say El-Michels Affair is post-modern. I know as an Aerosol Linguist that reviews rap records I saw something new in El Michels Affair.
