We’ve decided to alter the route to keep people safe on icy sidewalks. Over the past few days I have watched pedestrians navigate piles of snow and ice blocking the sidewalks on High Street. The weather forecast makes me think these piles will only get more treacherous as they thaw and refreeze over night. In short, it is not safe or realistic to traverse miles of these piles!
We're back and better than ever. Join Abortion Fund of Ohio as we kick off our annual Fund-a-Thon season with our 10th Anniversary Clothing Swap! This year's swap will feature a Wild Cat Gift & Party pop-up, a DIY mending station with community volunteer guidance, a clothing drop-off at the event, raffle items, and more!
All ticket options provide entry to the event anytime from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. We will replenish clothes throughout the day to keep things fresh, so don't feel the need to be here RIGHT at 10:00 am.
Please join the Westerville Progressive Alliance in a silent candlelight vigil to honor and remember all victims of ICE.
Meet in front of Westerville City Hall Wednesday, February 11th a little before 6:00 pm. We will have candles or you may bring your own (real or battery-operated).
Although our location might be noisy, we will gather silently. Brief words will be shared and then we will wordlessly shine our light and be in community with one another.
NO signs, noisemakers or musical instruments, please.
This year's celebration will take place on February 24 in Columbus City Council Chambers beginning at 6 p.m.
Our keynote speaker this year is Columbus native and author Wil Haygood. You can read more about our speaker below.

This presentation will explore the Social Justice Curator’s recent investigative efforts to learn more about the inhabitants who called Little Africa, Bucktown, and Little Bucktown home in the late nineteenth century and early twentieth century. By sourcing newspaper archives and census data, she will demonstrate how she uses the resources of her public library to learn about the built environment around her.
