The “Hiroshima for Peace Concert” is an annual memorial concert that commemorates the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and advocates for nuclear de-proliferation and disarmament. The series of memorial gatherings and peaceful protests were founded by Mark Stansbery and Yoshie Furuhashi in 2010; composer Rocco Di Pietro began collaborating with Mark on a series of peace concerts in 2014.

The 38th Annual Music on the Lawn summer concert series kicks off in July with a new outdoor pavilion and site improvements to celebrate the library’s 100th anniversary! A significant portion of the project is being funded with a donation from the Grandview Heights Public Library Foundation.

Concerts take place on Tuesdays, 7-8pm, July and August (instead of June-July, due to construction).
