A bill that will repeal Ohio’s death penalty will be introduced next week in the Ohio House of Representatives. This bipartisan legislation is sponsored by Rep. Jean Schmidt (R-Loveland) and Rep. Adam Miller (D-Columbus); a list of bipartisan cosponsors will be forthcoming.
The No Death Penalty Ohio Coalition will hold a press conference to discuss the broad support for repeal on Wednesday, September 6 at 10am in the Ladies’ Gallery at the Ohio Statehouse in Columbus.

WGRN 91.9 community radio is kicking off our new frequency with this free gathering that will be celebrating the life of our Board President, Gregory Gross.
Eldorado’s is across the street from Graceland Shopping Center on N. High St. and has a bar and restaurant so attendees will be able to eat and drink. There is a large parking lot.
Music will be provided by Bob Sauls (plus band), Joe Keehner, Eugene Beer, and Hippie Dave.

The Brain Injury Association of Ohio is excited to announce our second annual Cere-bration Walk, Roll, Run on Sunday, September 10, 2023. Brain Injury Association of Ohio is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides services and support for brain injury survivors and their caregivers throughout Ohio. All of these services are free of charge to the families that we serve.
The event will include a timed 5K, a one-mile fun run/walk, and a virtual participation option.

The Humanist Monthly Program is our longest running event and is still a community favorite. In the old days it used to be called “Going to HCCO” and we still like to think of it as our flagship event.
This month, we will be joined (virtually) by Phil Zuckerman who will present on living a moral life without the supernatural.
