This training will help you understand the history of religious pro-choice advocacy and the role that modern religious voices play in securing abortion access and defending reproductive freedom in Ohio and across the U.S.

Developed as a “movement introduction” for congregations and faith leaders, participants will learn about the pre-Roe Clergy Consultation Service on Abortion, basic theological perspectives around repro topics, and what options for further engagement exist locally and beyond.

Join us on Tuesday, June 6, when our guests will be Kristin Boggs and David Leland. Both of them are judges of the Ohio Tenth District Court of Appeals. We’re excited to learn about how the court works and why it is important, especially from the judges’ unique perspective as former state legislators.

We are excited to announce that the Columbus New Liberals May event will feature a question-and-answer with Ohio Senator Bill DeMora! The topics he will be discussing will be housing, transportation, and infrastructure, so come prepared to think, learn, and engage!

After the event, we will be heading over to Land-Grant Brewing Company, 424 W. Town St., for our monthly social. If you come to the social after attending the event, your first round of drinks is on us! See you there!
