This date was chosen to commemorate the Haymarket Affair, the aftermath of a bombing that took place at a labor demonstration on May 4, 1886, in Chicago’s Haymarket Square. What better way to celebrate than learning about your own local labor history? Join Columbus DSA [Democratic Socialists of America] for a labor history bike tour of Columbus this year on April 30th!

We are hosting the Sixth Annual Hunger Run 5K in person this year in support of Neighborhood Services Inc. (NSI), a local food pantry and resource center located right here in Columbus, Ohio. Our goal is to spread awareness about hunger and food insecurity in central Ohio, bring the community together, and raise money for Neighborhood Services, Inc.

Ranked Choice Voting is an alternative voting method that would allow voters to rank their preferred candidates according to their preferences. In a ranked choice voting system, voters rank their preferred candidates as first, second, third, and so on.

Kaleidoscope Youth Center [KYC] and Land-Grant Brewing Company are back for the Second Annual Land-Grant Drag Brunch on Saturday, April 29, benefiting KYC and LGBTQIA+ youth in our community!
Hosted by Anisa Love and Virginia West, this is a free-admission event with registration strongly encouraged. This year, we are also introducing very limited VIP seating where 100% of proceeds to support KYC.
