Ohio has seen a recent surge in both horrific gun violence as well as dangerous laws that will strip Ohio residents’ ability to stay safe from gun violence. For example, last year, Ohio’s House passed a bill that would make it easier for teachers to go to work armed. This is an inappropriate solution to the issue of gun violence in schools; we plan on working on common-sense solutions that will keep our students safe.

The book club will be reading the National Book Award winning “Stamped from the Beginning: The Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America” by Ibram X. Kendi.
