Join us for a day of celebration in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and take part in activities and programs that focus on serving and engaging with the community.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day Open House, presented by the King Arts Complex, 12noon-2 p.m.

Thursday, January 13, 12noon-1:15pm, this event will be on-line

The 37th annual Ohio Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemorative Celebration will be held at noon Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022. Hosted from Trinity Episcopal Church in downtown Columbus with only program participants in attendance this year, this ceremony will be livestreamed at das.ohio.gov/mlk and rebroadcast on The Ohio Channel.

Wednesday, January 12, 6pm, North High Brewing [Short North], 1288 N. High St.

The Columbus chapter of the international grassroots advocacy group Citizens’ Climate Lobby has launched a monthly speaker series, “Ales and Climate Tales,” that will feature local scientists and experts on environmental issues. The second presentation of this series will be held Wednesday, January 12, 6pm, at North High Brewing’s Short North location, 1288 N. High St.

Tuesday, January 11, 7-8:30pm, this on-line event requires advance registration

Join Jewish Voice for Peace Central Ohio Chapter for a webinar with Khaled Elgindy. Khaled Elgindy is a senior fellow at the Middle East Institute [MEI] where he also directs MEI’s Program on Palestine and Israeli-Palestinian Affairs.

Saturday, January 8, 7-8:30pm, this event will be occurring via Zoom

Since we aren’t getting together in person, we can gather for a couple of hours on the second Saturday night of each month, 7-8pm, on Zoom.

This event will feature the following.

• Jessica Stein of Women’s March will update on upcoming actions to defend the right to health care access

• and more!

A question-and-answer period will be included.
