The Ku Klux Klan rallying in support of a Black man’s execution in Texas. The North Carolina death row warden wheeling a gurney into the execution chamber. Georgia’s execution of an innocent man. Weeping family members at the moment of a loved one’s execution.

Monday, April 19, 7pm, this on-line event requires advance registration

Last summer, People Over Petro and many of its partners joined in a summer digital series and summit called “A-Z Tackling the Impacts of Plastics: From Fracked Gas to Plastic Pollution in the Ohio River Valley and Beyond.”

Hundreds of people joined in a social network with events, arts, and discussions around the impacts of plastic and what we can do about it.

Join our next event, on Monday, April 19, “Tackling the A-Z Impacts of Plastic: Labor Solidarity.”

Sunday, April 18, 7-30pm, this on-line event requires advance registration

Dr. Jan Huebenthal, Executive Director, LGBT Center at Ohio University, will talk about creating a safe(r) world!

PFLAG promotes the health and well-being of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender persons, their families and friends, through support [to cope with an adverse society], education [to enlighten an ill-informed public], and advocacy [to end discrimination].

Sunday, April 18, 6:30-8pm, this on-line event requires advance registration

Welcome to the next gathering of the Care and Share Time Bank on Sunday, April 18 at 6:30pm!

Here’s the schedule:

6:30-6:45pm: We will start off with a brief social time, introducing ourselves, and offering any exchange items that we have to offer for free. I feel very strongly that this time to be social is hugely important to our well-being; it’s a precious time for us to greet each other and connect. I love our community!
