One of our members, Amy Harkins, is hosting a meet and greet with cookies, coffee, candidates, and canvassing on Sunday, September 8, 2-5pm! You’ll have time to meet the candidates and learn about their vision for change in our city and our schools. After some snacks and socializing, we’ll partner up and hit the streets, talking to our neighbors about why we’re excited to vote for Liliana Rivera Baiman, Joe Motil, Tiffany White, and Kimberley Mason on November 5!

The devastating fires in the Amazon rainforest have prompted the need for even greater awareness of climate change and a stronger commitment to the restoration of our world’s forests.
As a dedication to this urgent call, we will be performing a free Sound Bath in honor of World Amazon Day at Sharon Woods Metro Park (near Schrock Lake) on September 5, beginning at 6:30pm.

We’re celebrating Miriam’s birthday with a dance party fundraiser! Miriam will be combining two of her passions — dancing and cooking — into one event to help raise funds for herself and her family while they fight for a path to citizenship for Miriam in the U.S.
Be prepared to eat delicious food by Miriam and move n’ groove to the tunes of DJ Lindsay Ciulla.
