The Dances of Universal Peace are simple, meditative, and joyous circle dances that celebrate the variety of spiritual paths on Earth. If you like folk dancing, you’ll be right at home here. No previous experience is needed — just an open and willing attitude. Participation, not presentation, is the focus.

From families being ripped apart, the near-end of DACA, a pending renewal of the “clean” Dream Act, and re-ratification of visas from Trump’s administration; the effects are being felt on a national level, and locally here in Columbus. From protesting the annulment of DACA, fighting for a “clean” Dream Act, mobilizing at ICE [Immigration Customs Enforcement] check-ins, to organizing around cases, we must protect and support all people who are facing ICE, however they choose to respond.

Mardi Gras will be lit this year at Glass Axis’s Glassquerade featuring glassblowing furnaces raging over 2000°F. Celebrate Mardi Gras in style wearing your favorite mask for the fifth year of this masquerade event. Glassquerade will take place on Friday, February 2, from 6pm to 11pm, at Glass Axis.

Join us for an engaging and fun introduction to Compassionate-Nonviolent Communication (NVC), the Language of the Heart, led by Susanna Warren.

People of all experience levels, ranging from beginners to experienced practitioners, are welcome to this gathering. We will have a short explanation, a demonstration, and then we will give everyone a chance to practice giving and/or receiving empathy.
