Join the Progressive Peace Coalition for a screening of the documentary “The Occupation of the American Mind: Israel’s Public Relations War in the United States.” Israel’s ongoing military occupation of Palestinian territory and its repeated invasions of the Gaza strip have triggered a fierce backlash against Israeli policies virtually everywhere in the world — except the United States.

Come out for a community screening of the award-winning documentary MAJOR!, which chronicles the life-long activism of Miss Major Griffin-Gracy. The film will be followed by a panel discussion, featuring SPECIAL GUEST Miss Major herself, who will join the conversation via Skype.

Minimalism examines the many flavors of minimalism by taking the audience inside the lives of minimalists from all walks of life — families, entrepreneurs, architects, artists, journalists, scientists, and even a former Wall Street broker — all of whom are striving to live a meaningful life with less. A question-and-answer discussion after the film will feature local minimalist Alex Young and organizations with strategies to help us to live more simply.
