Columbus International Film Festival (CIFF), the oldest ongoing film festival in the United States, has selected Invisible Hand for its 2020 virtual screening. This documentary, produced by Oscar-nominated actor Mark Ruffalo, unveils the global “Rights of Nature” movement featuring Grant Township, Pennsylvania. In 2014, that town passed a ban on fracking waste injection wells, prompting the state and industry to sue.

Monday, March 2, 7-9pm, Drexel Theatre, 2254 E. Main St.

Join members of Bexley’s Environmental Sustainability Advisory Committee in a free screening of WASTED! The Story of Food Waste. Following the film, a panel discussion will be held with representatives from Giant Eagle, Kroger, the Central Ohio Food Waste Initiative, Food Rescue US, Bexley resident and food waste expert Brian Roe, and our own The Mayor of Bexley, Ben Kessler.

Sunday, March 1, 12:30-3pm, Studio 35 Cinema & Drafthouse, 3055 Indianola Ave.
