Citizen Pollution Watch has logged hundreds of complaints from people near the Westerville Road industrial site. Residents report foul odors, dust, headaches, nausea, and burning in their noses and throats! Ohio EPA could now renew Scioto Materials’ air permit. The asphalt plant can make up to 400 tons an hour, yet the draft permit would not require its next routine stack test until 2030. That test would cover only three pollutants and leave out VOCs and sulfur dioxide.
