Meeting

Sponsored by Ohio Enviornmental Countil. There is no such thing as an off-year election. Local elections make a powerful impact on climate resiliency. While we see our federal government roll back protections for our environment and democracy, Ohioans have the power to stand up - starting in our own cities and towns. In this month's workshop, where we'll talk about how to build relational power right where we are and the tools we have to make an impact.

Join Central Ohio Revolutionary Socialists, @fsjp_osu, and @workersvoice.ohio, for a presentation and discussion examining the reasons for the United States unequivocal support for Israel and the ongoing genocide.

In order to effectively fight for Palestine, we must understand what we are fighting against. We will discuss the role of U.S. Imperialism, the nature of zionism, and the history of this “special relationship.”

We welcome all to come discuss these burning questions for our movement. Feel free to invite others and share the event.

Voting is one of the most powerful tools we have to shape our communities and demand the change we deserve. Our people have always known that self-determination is the key to freedom. And we must advance our agenda for freedom by using all the tools at our disposal, including the ballot box, to increase our power. It’s more important than ever that our people are registered, informed, and ready to vote.

Popular theologian, author and podcaster Pete Enns will deliver the annual Gladden Lecture at First Congregational Church. His lecture, “The Case for Social Justice,” will be followed by a question-and-answer session and a book signing. Weather permitting, a reception will be held in the adjacent Washington Gladden Social Justice Park.

Advance registration for the lecture on October 4 is requested but not required.
