Protest/Rally

Thursday, September 15, 5pm, OSU South Oval, between 1739 N. High St. and 253 W. 12th Ave.

A 13-year-old black boy was killed last night by cops in our city. The Columbus Police Department has refused to release the name of the police officer involved; and this murder follows two other murders of black folk in this city by our police force.

Despite its size, Columbus notably has one of the highest rates of officer-involved-shootings in the nation. Under no circumstances is this acceptable. Cops cannot play judge, jury, and executioner. No child deserves to die like this.

Thursday, July 21, assembling at 6pm near the Ohio Statehouse and concluding with a rally near the Columbus Division of Police, 120 Marconi Blvd.

As hundreds of cities around the country and world have had uprisings in the wake of the police murders of #AltonSterling and #PhilandoCastile, we’ve seen Black people and allies put their bodies on the line to fight racial injustice and fight for a world where #BlackLivesMatter.

Columbus is not exceptional, and just this summer we’ve lost two Black men by the hands of the police, #HenryGreen and #KawmePatrick.

Thursday, May 26, 8:30pm, Wendy’s International Headquarters, One Dave Thomas Blvd., Dublin, Ohio
