No need for confusion here:
(1) Web articles clearly demonstrate to anyone with the intelligence of a Teddy Bear that Kerry "threw" the Election.
(2) Articles state that he will be walking off into the mists of time with millions of unspent campaign money.
(3) One article, with references, indicates that Mrs. Heinz-Kerry received a gold warehouse receipt worth 5 million (thanks, no doubt, for keeping a firm grip on our hero's testicles).
(4) Other speculation is that Dr. Dean was shot down early as a real threat to Bush so that a non-entitiy like Kerry, with the personality of a freshly opened oyster, could impersonate a viable candidate for the public.
(5) Since it would offend many, I will not characterize those who ever thought Kerry had the chance of a snowbell in Hell.
(6) I was about to ramble on about corruption of the voting, but have been interrupted by an ominous knock at the door.
I am Dr. Lora Chamberlain in Chicago of the Illinois Progressive Democrats. I am helping the League of Pissed Off Voters, CASE and other citizens groups in Ohio with their public hearings about election fraud and a rally for a full criminal investigation into any and all election fraud during this past election on Nov.2nd.
Reach Out, a citizen action group in Ohio is sponsoring the rally on Sat. 11/13th at the Capitol Square in downtown Columbus, OH, 180 E. Broadway, beginning at 10:30am and going until 12:30pm, then they will march to the public hearings that will begin at 1pm and go until 4pm at the New Faith Baptist Church, 955 Oak St., on the near east side of Columbus, OH. Additional public hearings will occur on Mon, 11/15, 6-9pm at the Franklin County Courthouse, room A, 373 S. High St in downtown Columbus. All interested citizens are encouraged to attend. This rally and the hearings will be posted at www.indyvoter.org in the calendar and at www.michiganIMC.org .
I too was awe-struck at the speed with which Kerry conceded, just as Gore had conceded so immediately in 2000.
It makes me think there's something very strange going on.
What I found very odd and disconcerting was how the johnkerry.com website IMMEDIATELY pulled the plug on their blog at the end of November 2. The vibrant blog which was the place where the Kerry supporters could communicate and strategize together was instantly killed, just when it was needed most. It just doesn't make any sense.
I get the sense that the Democrats are just a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Republicans. Not a real party, but just a prop just to "prove" that we're not a one-party state. It's similar to when a corporation spins off a new brand that makes the identical product they make, just so consumers can feel they're buying something new, when it's really the same old product repackaged.
Thanks for all your great work.
Like you said, it's up to us REAL people to keep the fight alive.
Peace

What hydrogen bombs couldn't do to the Democratic Party, Karl Rove and George W. Bush finally did, with a little help from a ringer. Five votes swung the election Bush's way four years ago. It took just one vote this time -- Osama bin Laden's, cast with impeccable timing over the last three years to keep fear the value-added commodity it's been for the Bush administration. Without fear, there could be no crusade (against heathens abroad and at home, but mostly at home), and, without crusade, there could be no appeal to the deciding factor in American politics: the religious bloc. So, the 2004 election panned out as a choice between committed evangelicals and committed secularists. Evangelicals won.
It is indeed bitterly ironic that Mr. Blackwell, an African American whose forefathers were not allowed to vote, is now engaged in the prevention of voting by others of his same race, and certainly in his same state. It is shameful.

Is miscounting votes the only way this election could have been manipulated? I was told by filling out a form when my driver's license was renewed, I would be registered to vote. Months later, excited about democracy, I went to the polls, only to be turned away because there was no record of it, nor acknowledgement of the existence of the system for registering that I was led to believe was the simplest and least error-prone. I was also misinformed by the election worker that sprang to action when I asked what recourse I had, that filling out a provisional ballot would have no effect on this election. I do not think there is a coincidence here. Nor is it one that my wife had the same exact experience, independently. The New York Times is quick to legitimize the election and delegitimize news sources that are not itself. I hope your organization can succeed in its mission. I hope this account helps. When I saw this morning, in my usual news source, that someone had already thought of the name for a website that I realized a few days ago would be the perfect one to effect change in this country, I decided to help, rather than dream about pioneering.
Please stop smashing Kerry. He gets enough of that from gloating RightWingers. I would guess that after the media crucified Gore for kicking, he is trying to be smarter about this. He's probably been advised to keep his head down long enough to see whether there will be enough outcry about the voting irregularities to warrant coming out with a statement and exposing himself to a new onslaught from furious Republicans, or, far worse politically, ridicule from the media.
