Hundreds of OSU students sit on the Oval in front of Thompson Library in protest of Senate Bill 1 and the university’s recent DEI rollbacks. When asked about her perspective on the speak-out, Brielle Shorter said “Last week when OSU sunsetted ODI, there were lots of tears, there was lots of pain, there were lots of hugs. Less than a week later, today, we are here in joy and celebration, because you cannot legislate us as human beings.”

Wednesday, March 5 President Trump threatened to strip federal funding from colleges and universities that allow their students to “illegally” protest and threatened to deport, imprison, and/or expel students who are using their right to free speech. These threats are a desperate attempt to silence a movement that is working—we won’t back down.

Join us in opposing ex-‘israeli’ Prime Minister’s welcoming on our campus. This war criminal has the blood of thousands of Palestinians on his hands and is a direct perpetrator of the ongoing ethnic cleansing and occupation of Palestine.
We vehemently oppose any attempts to welcome or commemorate war criminals. We will not remain silent while they are platformed on our campus.
Residential Installations Decline in 2023
The U.S. residential solar industry struggled last year, seeing declines in installations by about 26 percent in 2023. Much of this decline was due to changes in the net metering policy in California, which reduced compensation for those exporting power to the grid by about 75 percent. As a result, residential installations in California dropped by over 40 percent.
In 2023, California accounted for 25 percent of all residential solar installed nationwide.
Other factors leading to the nationwide decline were higher interest rates as well as increased tariffs which added to the cost of installing a system.
Residential solar only makes up about 22 percent of the overall solar market. Utility scale solar accounts for 72 percent of all solar installations with a dramatic 44 percent growth rate in 2023.

Elon Musk's remarks on Muslim are preposterous!
As a retired NCO, I am appalled by Co-President Elon Musk who recently questioned the loyalty of Muslim-American organizations and equate them with terrorism without producing any shred of evidence.
Muslims are part of the fabric that makes our country great. They have served in every war and conflict since the Revolutionary War.
I should note here that the 'Tweet Machine' never served a day in the U.S. Armed Forces.
Elon Musk's remarks on Muslims are preposterous.
Israel is reneging on the ceasefire agreement
A high-ranking Israeli official said, "Israel will not withdraw from the Philadelphia Corridor, which is the border separating Egypt and Gaza, despite the ceasefire agreement stipulating otherwise."
Last Sunday, Prime Minister Netanyahu said Israel is imposing a blockade on all humanitarian aid heading into Gaza, following the expiration of phase one of the ceasefire deal.
That is a clear violation of the agreement. In other words, Israel is reneging on the ceasefire agreement. Fish swim, birds fly, and Israelis lie!
The rightwing operatives who occupy the state house are at it again. This time they are using the perceived “anti-woke” sentiment and growing Sinophobia to grease the wheels on a bill that would stifle union organizing and insert jingoistic propaganda into the curriculum for all college students in the state of Ohio.
Senate Bill 1 was introduced in January by Jerry Cirino, a business owner representing the heavily gerrymandered Senate District 18.
Despite receiving almost 800 submitted testimonies arguing against the bill, it was passed 22-11 during the February 12 session. All nine Democrats and two token Republicans voted “nay.” The bill now moves onto the House, where a previous version died in 2023.
Prior to the vote, all Democratic senators voiced their opposition to the bill. In her statement, Senate Leader Nickie J. Antonio (D-Lakewood) said, “The premise of the bill is that somehow public universities are bastions of liberalism trying to indoctrinate our children.”
The Columbus Gay Men’s Chorus (“CGMC”) is thrilled to announce a collaboration with three other LGBTQIA+ choruses from Ohio for a special one-night concert called “Heart of Ohio.” The show is part of CGMC’s 35th concert season. CGMC will be performing alongside the North Coast Men’s Chorus (Cleveland), the Dayton Gay Men’s Chorus, and the Cincinnati Men’s Chorus on Saturday, March 22nd at the Davidson Theatre inside the Riffe Center in downtown Columbus.
“This concert isn’t just about music—it’s about visibility, unity, and the enduring strength of our communities in Ohio,” said Donovan Jones, Executive Director of CGMC. “No matter where you are in Ohio, you are not alone—our community is vibrant, our voices are strong, and we are here to uplift each other."
