The Faith in Life Committee of the Diocese of Southern Ohio [The Episcopal Church] will offer “Two Truths in One Heart; Two Peoples in One Land,” a presentation by Rabbi Hanan Schlesinger and Noor Awad, leaders of Roots/Shorashim/Judur, a local Palestinian Israeli initiative for understanding, nonviolence, and transformation. This presentation will take place in the sanctuary; a reception will follow.

You’ll not hear anything artificially sweet in the incredible sounds crafted by Shannon Clark and the Sugar. A family affair, Clark and his wife Brittany, daughter Navie, and cousin Joey are all integral to creating music that is complex and full of honest, thoughtful lyrics. Adding to this is the rich sound of “blood harmony,” a type of harmony that is said to be a unique kind of harmony that can only be created by those who are related to one another “by blood.”

Join us as we speak with Kathy Schulz, author of The Underground Railroad in Ohio, as she shares the stories she’s uncovered and the research she delved into to learn about the past.
