The Central Ohio Young Black Democrats, in partnership with the Franklin County Democratic Party, invites you to help shape the conversation for our upcoming Ohio House District 2 Candidate Forum.
We are collecting questions, comments, and concerns from community members to ensure this forum reflects the priorities and lived experiences of residents across House District 2.
Huckleberry House is proud to announce that Dr. Michelle Taylor, widely known as Feminista Jones, will join Sleep Out as a featured guest speaker. Dr. Taylor will speak on the timely and powerful theme, “Harnessing the Power of Community.”
We are honored to welcome The Reverend Dr. Jack Sullivan, Jr., an ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), adjunct instructor at Phillips Theological Seminary in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and former executive director of the Ohio Council of Churches, where he served from 2019 through his retirement in December 2025. Dr. Sullivan is an internationally known preacher and justice advocate, and we are deeply grateful that he will be joining us for this important evening.,
During the community serve, we setup in a fixed location to provide material supplies to our residents and neighbors. Supplies are contingent upon donations, so things change each time, but we always strive to provide a hot meal, non-perishable groceries, and seasonal clothing.
In March, our legal staff supported the TransOhio's Birth Certificate and Name Change Clinic in Hamilton and surrounding counties. 27 people were helped in Hamilton County, an exciting 1st time visit for TransOhio and EO, expanding new territory!

Ohio Black Expo is a statewide non-profit organization committed to enhancing the lives, success, and well-being of communities in Ohio. We drive change and foster growth through initiatives that address critical disparities in areas such as economic development, health, education, senior support, business, technology, and youth development.
We will be serving the community with a home-cooked meal on the 29th of March at the Northside library.
