As Christians how do we take the principles we hear from the pulpit and apply them in a Christlike way to our shared public life in Ohio?How do we counter the extremism operating in our state without cultivating hate for others?How can the church be a place of healing and liberation for both the oppressor and the oppressed?How does the Ohio statehouse work?How can we begin to organize for the dignity of our neighbors and affect meaningful policy change at the state level now?

Join Trinity, Capitol Square and

Columbus Education Justice Coalition in collaboration with Sankofa Arts would like to invite you to our new community space!

Welcome to the north wing of the Opportunity Zone! A community space in a community building serving our community - directly!

Join us for an informal meet and greet to see the space, hear about offerings for activists and artists alike, and to just chill for a bit. You're welcome to pop in and out, or to stay awhile!

Light refreshments will be provided, along with a coffee and tea bar.

Art and community care combine for a good time to meet neighbors, get creative and learn how to defend ourselves!

BYOB, pizza provided.

4pm-10pm: Anti-ICE Flag Making: We will be sewing, painting and crafting flags for small businesses to show solidarity. All creative levels welcome!

6pm-8pm: ICE Watch TrainingCommunity members - get connected & learn how to respond together!

We collect, pack, and send books to Ohio prisoners every 1st and 3rd Sunday.  They are accepting donations.

Paperbacks are especially welcome these days due to prison restrictions.  

Location: Thirdhand Bike Coop, 979 East 5th Ave, Columbus.
