This month’s presentation is by Professor Steve Rissing and is titled “The Evolution of Science Denial in the United States — Starting with Evolution.” Dr. Rissing is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Evolution, Ecology, and Organismal Biology at OSU.

The Franklinton Fridays Music Series is back this summer! The Franklinton Arts District is hosting a free all-ages show, on the second Friday of each month, May through September.

This year, the Franklinton Fridays Music Series will be featuring songs created by young students working with “We Amplify Voices” and a variety of artists, both musical and graphic.

“Warmth” is a collection of pieces created by the artists and staff of Open Door Studios. Honoring the changing of the seasons, the pieces chosen are intended to provoke the feelings of red and warmth.

Located in Grandview Heights, Ohio, Open Door Art Studio and Gallery serve as a creative space for a diverse group of working artists. We believe in the transformative power of the arts and are committed to fostering personal and artistic growth and deepening community connection.

This Franklinton Friday, join the Brass of the Columbus Symphony for a small ensemble performance at Gravity! Bring a blanket or chair and listen to classical and popular hits from a quintet of the symphony’s brass musicians!
