Thursday, July 16, 12noon-1pm, this event will be on-line
African American men have historically been disproportionately impacted by the lack of mental health services available to them. This conversation has been planned by African American men with their mental health needs in mind. Join this important conversation with guest speakers William Stinchcomb, LCP, CDCA, and Dr. Jarhal Duncan, Owner, Licensed Independent Therapist at Minds Unltd LLC, as we identify barriers to accessing mental health services, and create solutions to overcome those barriers.

The Ohio Council of Churches is putting top emphasis on racism this year.
The new leaders, the Rev. Jack Sullivan and the Rev. Brandi Slaughter, have put together a meaningful program of events, including a “lunch and learn” webinar series, “Feeding the Multitude.” This interactive webinar series will be held via Zoom the third Thursday of each month from 12noon to 1pm.
This series aims to do the following.

This is the first of a new series of monthly virtual gatherings on the third Wednesday of each month. It’s an opportunity to meet others who share our values, make new friends, and do a little networking. Here’s a rough outline of how it will go [times can and will vary].
• 7-7:10pm: The facilitator will welcome everyone and will make sure that everyone is comfortable with the technology.
• 7:10-7:30pm: Introductions, maybe an ice-breaker.

Equality Ohio’s legal clinic provides free legal support to LGBTQ Ohioans, within 300% of the poverty line, who are experiencing legal hardship because of their sexual orientation or gender identity/expression.
Due to community health concerns regarding COVID-19, we are currently suspending our in-person legal clinics. Instead, our attorneys will be hosting virtual Intake Hours throughout the week. If you are in need of legal help, please contact the attorney closest to your area.

The Story of Plastictakes a sweeping look at the man-made crisis of plastic pollution and the worldwide effect that it has on the health of our planet and on the people who inhabit it. Spanning three continents, this film illustrates the ongoing catastrophe: fields full of garbage, veritable mountains of trash, rivers and seas clogged with waste, and skies choked with the poisonous emissions from plastic production and processing.
