Join Green Columbus and a group of wonderful sponsors in celebrating Earth Day 2016, which we’re calling “Right Now” this year, at a celebration at Columbus Commons on Saturday, April 23, 2016.

The celebration, which will run from 1pm to 10pm, will feature your favorite local bands, food trucks, kids’ activities, environmental groups and businesses, and much more. Bring your friends and family for a full day of fun in the heart of downtown Columbus.

April 23, 10am-12pm, Stratford Ecological Center, 3083 Liberty Rd., Delaware, Ohio

Naturalist Bob Harter will explain the proper seed germination and cultivation techniques of native plants. Also learn the importance of native plants to our environment, including where and how they grow. Each participant will receive a six-pack cell, soil and seeds to plant on site with Bob’s guidance, plus a small packet of seeds to take home and plant. Information sheets explaining different types of seed treatment will be available.

Cost: $20/person.

Last year, Ohioans to Stop Executions was the buzz throughout the Statehouse and we aim to make an even bigger impression this year. You’ll want to be there by 9:30am for a great program followed by visits with your legislators.
